Oughtibridge Primary School MAY FAIR!!
Saturday 17th May 1pm-4pm
After the success of last years May Fair, in partnership with the School, SOS are doing it again!!
This time we are raising funds to upgrade the AV equipment and add remote controlled blinds to the Coumes Hall skylights!!
We are again being supported by our brilliant local businesses and you will find stall holders including:
- Kelly’s Cakes and Ccupcakes
- Poptin & Spodge
- Bricks & Bits Toy Shop
- Laura’s Sparkles
- Felt with love Art
- Sharon’s Savvy Savings
- Sara’s Sweet Surprise and Sara’s Handcraft Surprise
- Stitches & Knots
- Kilners Kreations
- Funtasia Toys & Gifts, and
- The Craft House
In addition, there will (hopefully) be plenty of games and activities for the whole family including those listed below. Plus if the weather is kind….. we’ve asked the ice-cream van to come!!
- A Woods of Wonder experience, supported by Foresteers which includes crafting, tool use, hammocks and den building or toasting a marshmallow on by the fire!
- Face Painting by Giuliana located in the car park
- Hair Braiding by Twenty-Two Hair and Beauty located in the outdoor classroom
- Beat the Goalie supported by Stocksbridge Park Steels located on the school field
- Wellie Wangling – it’s for Pride, also located on the school field – can you top the leader-board?
- Shoot-the-Hoop – How many hoops can you score, can you top our leader-board?
- Break the Code – a chance to win £50 cash!!
- Adopt a teddy – each comes with its own adoption certificate
- Second-hand clothes stall – giving both adult and children’s clothing a chance at a new local home, before being donated further afield.
Not forgetting the Children lead stalls – which were a massive hit last year! Please come and support the School Council and Eco Council activities including:
- Hook a Duck,
- Splat-the-Rat,
- Ball-in the Bucket
- Bird feeder craft,
- Seed planting
- A second-hand bookstall.
We also hope you will also take advantage of the SOS’s refreshments stall which will be serving hot and cold drinks, and a selection of snacks, with the added bonus of a Popcorn Machine and a Chocolate Fountain, supported by Teaching Personnel!!
However, to pull this off, we also need your help on the day – we are nothing without our SOS volunteer army!! If you can spare some time please sign up here: VOLUNTEER SIGN UP.

We appreciate that not everyone can volunteer, if you are not able please help us by spreading the word about the event with your friends and family network and attend if you can. We hope this will be a nice social and community event (especially if the weather is kind to us again, though of course there is a wet weather plan! 😉).
If there are any members of our school community who have employers with match funding schemes, and you are able to help volunteer at this weekend event, please let the committee know as this can turn a great event into a Golden event and would mean so much to the teachers!
As always thanks for your support
