SOS Spring 2026 Disco
Back by popular demand, its The School Disco!
Thank you to the Volunteers who have already signed up to help at the discos – we really need you and just can’t run the school discos without you, and the kids genuinely have so much FUN so thanks!
We are still a few volunteers short, and would appreciate 2/3 more particularly for the Y3/4 disco, but also Y5/6 if possible. Please, if you can volunteer – let your SOS Year Rep know or email SOS, we need ~15 volunteers per disco to ensure the safety of the children.
If you have/ or do sign up, you will be needed, and we will only contact you directly if you are not, so please assume you are!! We meet at the white corridor between 3pm and 3:10 to set up and are finished by 4:30pm.
If your circumstances change and you are no longer able to volunteer, please email SOS as soon as possible so that we can try and find cover, or restrict the number of available tickets (worst case) to maintain the safety ratios.
Each of the 3 discos is scheduled to run from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on the following dates:
Y5/ Y6 – Friday 17th April
Y1/ Y2 – Monday 20th April
Y3/ Y4 – Friday 24th April
Tickets are NOW ON SALE, but if we don’t get the remaining volunteers, we may have to close sales early to ensure the safety of the children.
Again SOS would like to express our sincere thanks to each volunteer, we aren’t able to do this without you and the OPS staff who help us (among other things) to safely dismiss your children.
Disco Details;
Places at the disco will be on sale at £5 each, which will include a ‘grab bag’ of a drink, crisps, a packet of biscuits (likely Oreos or Party Rings) and a packet of Skittles. If your child would like to attend the disco please read this information carefully and complete the booking form below. Collection will be via the classrooms which align Coumes Hall.
All bookings, including an online payment via STRIPE using the link below, must be made ahead of the Disco, ticket sales will close 24hrs before each disco at the latest, subject to tickets still being available. Children will not be able to attend if they have not secured a place in advance, and places will be issued on a first come first served basis. There is a maximum cap of 120 places at each event for Health and Safety reasons, though this may be reduced if volunteer numbers are too low. Once the event cap has been reached SOS will not be able to sell additional tickets.
Your ticket is your payment receipt, we will not be issuing paper tickets!
- As the refreshments are included in the price your child will not need to bring any other money with them on the day.
- Please state on the registration form any allergies that would prevent your child from eating any of the contents in the goodie bag.
- All children who are attending will stay in their own classrooms until the disco starts at 3.30pm so there is no need to come and collect your child at the end of the normal day.
- Please do not send a change of clothes.
The disco will finish promptly at 4.30pm and a responsible adult must pick them up from a dedicated class room – this information will be sent via ParentMail. If your child usually attends Foxes after-school club, please indicate this on the booking form and a volunteer will escort them there at the end of the disco.
To ensure safety, children need to be aware of which responsible adult is planned to collect them. Once collected, neither the school nor SOS accepts any responsibility for that child.
We hope that you will support this fundraising event and that the children will have fun!
We do love a good disco!
Once payment has been completed, you should received both a payment receipt from STRIPE and an email confirmation for your booking (please check your junk mail before contacting us, if one of these is missing).
Thank you again for your support, the SOS Committee
